Property of unknown value was last night razed down by a fierce fire at the Kisumu Bus Park.
The ferocious fire whose cause has not yet been established destroyed various structures and stalls which act a source livelihood for various people.
Kisumu fire department responded swiftly to the fire outbreak but it had already destroyed a big chunk of property at the bus park, George Owuor, one of the stall owners at the bus park narrated.
Speaking to the press in the wake of the incident, he alluded that the fire seemingly started from inside one of the food kiosks at the bus park before quickly spreading to the other kiosks nearby.
Owuor together with other members of the business fraternity at the bus park have called for speedy and thorough investigations into the fire incident even as they also called on the county government of Kisumu to establish an active fire department that can speedily and effectively respond during such unexpected fire break outs and other tragedies.
