Over 60 per cent of the residents of Kakamega County have so far registered under the National Integrated Information Management System (NIIMS).
The area County Commissioner (CC), Abdirusak Jaldesa said 1,268,991 out of the projected 2,000, 000 people had registered at the close of Tuesday.
He said their daily target is 49,192 people per day but they were realising about 30, 000 due to inadequate forms.
“Unlike other counties where there has been incitement from leaders, the exercise has been running smoothly here,” he stated.
The CC explained that the Huduma Namba is advantageous as it would enable an individual to access various services using a single card.
He appealed to the residents to turn out in large numbers and register in the remaining three days.
