The County Government of Kisumu has established a trading bazaar within the Central Business District (CBD), to allow traders sell their wares to visitors during the 9th Afri-Cities conference, to be held in the area next month.
The Conference slated for 17th -21st May 2022 has attracted over 6, 000 delegates, presenting an opportunity for local business community.
Afri-Cities Secretariat Coordinator, Alloyce Ager, said the space was open to all business persons from across the country with no restrictions on the kind of products to display.
He asked those interested to book a spot by registering. On https://visitkisumu.go.ke/business-bazaar-booking/ website, with the offer running until the opening of the ceremony on 17th May 2022.
“The spaces are open to all registered business owners, to showcase and sell their products,” Ager said.
Other spaces available for registration include Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Sports Grounds and the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) showground in Mamboleo.
“The spaces have different ranges depending on the size and type one is looking for. For example a 2m by 2 m space is going for Sh.10, 000,” he said.
The business community, he added, were set to reap big from the Conference, urging them to take advantage of the offer and book space at the strategic spots.
