A 19 year-old man has been arrested in Makueni Sub-county for defiling a 14 year-old girl.
The young man who was identified as Samuel Tatu is alleged to have lured the girl to a room Saturday, where he was staying and defiled her for about one hour.
The girl according to her mother Eunice Mwongeli Malonza, was sent to a kiosk to buy Sukuma Wiki, but the young man lured her to his room in Kunda Kindu Estate in Wote town where he defiled her.
After she delayed to return, the mother followed her and saw her emerge from a house where she demanded to know what she had gone to do there.
Confirming the incident, the Makueni Sub-county Police Commander, Timothy Maina said that the suspect is being held at the Makueni police station where he is being interrogated with a view to prosecuting him.
