Residents of Kwawira village in Kuresoi North are to come to terms with today’s morning incident where bodies of two lovers were found lying lifeless in their bedroom.
The deceased Jame Jomo, a known businessman and his wife Magret Wamuyo were discovered today morning by their 8-year-old daughter who alerted the neighbours.
The neighbors who rushed to the scene found the body of Magret oozing in blood while James had hanged himself in the same bedroom in what is suspected to be domestic violence incidence.
According to Wairimo Wachira, she was awakened by a disturbing cry for help from the child and upon arrival she was shocked to see two lifeless bodies of the couple in the bedroom.
“I was shocked when I entered that bedroom, I saw my friend’s body oozing in blood as his husband lay a few centimeters away dangling on a rope,” said Wairimu.
“The two were living happily despite a few isolated incidents of disagreement which we could not expect to escalate this far,” she added.
Jomo was described as a loving and charming neighbour who had helped many in the community and nobody would have expected such thing due to his humility.
The bodies of the two were taken to Molo subcounty mortuary awaiting postmortem to ascertain the actual cause of their death.
