A female milk dealer in Makadara, Athi river, was violently murdered by armed robbers who attacked her and a bodaboda rider while she was heading home to Site Estate.
According to Athi river South Police Commander, David Kandie, who spoke to the media, the public reported a lifeless body lying on the ground at Site Estate and had established that the woman died at the scene of crime.
Kandie adds that the robbers attacked her and the bodaboda rider with crude weapons, leaving her with deep cuts on her face and body while on her way home after closing her milk shop in Makadara on Sunday midnight.
The bodaboda rider managed to escape with major wounds and was rushed to Kitengela Sub-county Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Police launched their investigations into the murder. The body was taken to Shalom mortuary for postmortem.
Police say it is not clear yet, whether anything was stolen from victims and the motive of the murder.
