The two, Samson Oyugi, 60, and his 25-year- old colleague Julius Pasaruk died this morning while undergoing treatment at Matata Nursing Hospital in Oyugis town where they were rushed after the attack.
Confirming the incident, Rachuonyo South Sub-County Police Commander Lilies Wachira said the duo was guarding a new motorcycles shop at about when the thugs attacked and seriously injured them with crude weapons.
“The gang raided the shop at about 1 a.m. and brutally injured the guards as they attempted to prevent them from breaking into the shop,” Wachira expounded.
The Police Commander said another guard from a nearby shop sneaked and reported the matter to police officers who were patrolling the town.
