Shock gripped residents of Cheplanget location after the body of an unknown man was found hanging from a tree in a farm.
Locals said the stranger was discovered on Thursday morning by a passerby, who immediately raised the alarm.
Cheruiyot Peter, the farm owner, described the scene as shocking, adding that the incident has left his family deeply traumatized.
Area Chief Charles Mutai noted that the occurrence was unfortunate emphasizing that investigations will be launched to identify the deceased, who had no identification documents.
The body was transferred to Kapkatet morgue for preservation and a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
