Vihiga gubernatorial aspirant pledges to strengthen party

Vihiga County gubernatorial hopeful, Indimuli Kahi, visited United Democratic Alliance (UDA) offices and called for stronger party structures and improved data management within the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) as the party prepares for upcoming ward elections.

Speaking after a courtesy call to the UDA Vihiga County Headquarters at Vohovole on Wednesday, Kahi said that the visit was aimed at familiarizing himself with office operations and reviewing progress made following the recently concluded grassroots elections.

“Our discussions focused on strengthening information dissemination, enhancing membership registration, reinforcing party structures at the grassroots and assessing the preparedness for the upcoming ward elections,” Kahi said.

He noted that he had shared observations and gaps identified during the grassroots elections with the county secretariat, and pledged to work closely with party leadership to address them and strengthen UDA’s presence across Vihiga.

Kahi also urged the secretariat to maintain accurate membership records and provide timely progress reports to enhance accountability and the growth of the party.

Later, the gubernatorial aspirant interacted with members of the public at the offices, urging them to continue supporting UDA and the leadership of President William Samoei Ruto.

He said the party’s agenda was focused on delivering a more prosperous future for Kenyans.

“I am grateful for the overwhelming support and encouragement that we continue to receive towards ‘The New Way Forward’ agenda and my bid for the Vihiga County gubernatorial seat next year,” Kahi added.

UDA officials at the county headquarters welcomed Kahi’s visit, saying engagements with party stakeholders are key to consolidating the party’s base ahead of the 2027 general elections.
