Kiambu Town Member of Parliament Machua Waithaka has launched grading, compaction and murraming works on ACK Kabae Road in Ndumberi Ward in a move aimed at improving accessibility and easing transport challenges in the area.
The road upgrade forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and facilitate movement for residents, businesses and motorists who have long grappled with poor road conditions.
Speaking during the commencement of the works, Waithaka said the project underscores his commitment to delivering practical development initiatives that directly address the needs of the people.
“We have commenced grading, compaction and murraming works on ACK Kabae Road in Ndumberi as part of our commitment to improving road infrastructure and enhancing accessibility. This project will ease movement, improve connectivity and make transportation safer and more convenient for motorists, pedestrians and businesses along the road,” said the MP.
He noted that improved roads are essential in unlocking economic opportunities and ensuring efficient movement of goods and services within the constituency.
Residents and traders operating along the route are expected to benefit from reduced travel time and improved access, particularly during the rainy season when some sections become difficult to navigate.
The improved roads are also expected to enhance safety for pedestrians and motorists while boosting economic activities in Ndumberi and neighboring areas.
Waithaka reiterated that his administration remains focused on implementing projects with tangible benefits to wananchi, adding that infrastructure development remains one of the key pillars of his agenda for Kiambu Town Constituency.
“Our focus is on projects that have a direct impact on the lives of our people. We will continue investing in infrastructure that improves livelihoods and supports economic growth,” he said.
The latest intervention adds to a series of road improvement projects being undertaken across Kiambu Town Constituency as leaders seek to strengthen connectivity and spur socio-economic development in the region.
