Mudavadi inspects ongoing construction of Kenya School of Government in Vihiga

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction of the Kenya School of Government (KSG) campus at Boyani in Vihiga County, with the project expected to be completed by July 2027.

Mudavadi, who was accompanied by Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development Professor Jane Kere Imbunya, Vihiga Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala, Hamisi Member of Parliament Charles Gimose, Vihiga Member of Parliament Ernest Kagesi and other leaders, toured the site to assess the progress of the project.

The establishment of the institution is expected to strengthen public service training and capacity building by providing a dedicated facility for training government officers and enhancing their professional skills.

The project is also expected to bring development opportunities to the region through increased economic activity and demand for local goods and services during and after construction.

Once completed, the Boyani campus is expected to improve access to public service training for government officers from Vihiga and neighbouring counties, reducing the need to travel to other training centres.

The Kenya School of Government plays a key role in developing the knowledge, skills and leadership competencies of public servants to enhance efficiency, accountability and service delivery in government institutions.

The ongoing construction marks an important step towards expanding the institution’s training infrastructure and strengthening human resource development in the public sector.
