Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) chairperson Dr. David Oginde has commended the Public Service Commission (PSC) for subjecting itself to a thorough scrutiny to establish the integrity of its systems and processes.
Speaking when he officially handed over the PSC Internal Systems Audit Report to PSC chairperson Francis Meja at Commission House, Dr Oginde described the PSC gesture as a progressive move worth emulating, and urged public institutions to readily subject themselves to integrity audits.
Meja said the Commission will move swiftly to implement the recommendations in the report in a bid to enhance integrity and efficiency in service delivery.
“I am glad that EACC accepted our invitation to carry out a comprehensive audit of our internal processes and systems to help us to understand where we are on matters of integrity,” said Meja.
On its own volition, PSC invited EACC to review its internal systems, policies, and processes in August 2025 to identify any weaknesses that hinder operational effectiveness and institutional integrity.
Also in attendance during the report handover ceremony were PSC Commissioners Harun Hassan, Mwanamaka Mabruki, Boya Molu, Francis Owino, and Irene Asienga, as well as Commission Secretary/CEO Paul Famba.
From EACC, those present included Vice-Chairperson Monica Muriu, Commissioners, and CEO Ali Ahmed.
