Njenga Karume school shines in Nakuru

Njenga Karume secondary bounced back with an outstanding performance in last years KCSE exam to emerge the top extra-county school in Nakuru county.

 The famous day school, which has for many years produced top learners stamped its authority in 2025 results, with five of its best learners scoring A-.

In the final tally, 149 students from the school qualified for direct entry into university in the just released KCSE results.

 The school principal, Ben Kamau, attributed the stellar performance to discipline and hard work among the learners, whom he noted demonstrated the spirit of resilience and determination with a ready mind to conquer the world.

“The last year’s class was very disciplined and organized and easy to be managed by teachers, hence the good results we are celebrating now,” said Kamau, adding they are targeting a mean of 7.0 in this year’s KCSE results.

“As an institution we are happy to bounce back with a mean of 6.6, thus emerging as the top day  secondary among county schools within Nakuru. Out of a total candidature of 208, 149 secured direct entry to the university which is a plus for us,” he added.

The students led by Waweru David, who scored (A- 79) and David Mugo Kiringo(A-76) expressed their gratitude to the institution and teachers for giving them the much needed support during their tenure at the institution.

“I am grateful to God for the results, I thank my teachers and parents for the support they accorded me to help me achieve an A- 79 point. My dream is to pursue medicine,” said Waweru, the top student.

“I worked tirelessly to achieve the grade I have today. Being in a day school, life was challenging but I remained focused and committed to my goal. I wanted to get a straight A, but I am grateful for the A-, which will enable me pursue medicine,” said Mugo.
