The body of an 11-year-old boy was discovered hanging in an unfinished house in Kajimbo Sub-location, Nyakach Sub-county in Kisumu County, Tuesday morning.
The deceased, Jared Ochieng Otieno, a Grade Four pupil at Chachi Primary School, is suspected to have taken his own life.
Upper Nyakach Assistant County Commissioner (ACC) Dawin Orina, confirmed the incident, describing it as unfortunate.
Orina said the Police have moved in to carry out investigations, to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
The case was reported at around 7am by Kennedy Omondi, a resident of the area.
