The newly elected Jubilee party Secretary General (SG), Moitalel Ole Kenta has called upon political leaders to embrace unity and harmony in a bid to ensure that Kenyans get effective and quality services.
Speaking in Narok town a day after his appointment, Kenta observed that the country’s political leadership must put national interest first and work together for the benefit of the citizens.
He noted that divisions among leaders have caused a sluggish progress in services to be rendered to the citizens and thus the need to promote unity which is key to put the nation’s priority in order.
“All political leaders owe Kenyans a duty to care. Ensure that harmony is prioritized for Kenyans to get the right services they deserve,” noted Kenta.
Kenta who takes up the role under the leadership of former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, pledged to serve with integrity, commitment and openness. He appealed for support, counsel and partnership from the party members as he works towards strengthening the party.
He affirmed that the Jubilee party is ready for the 2027 general elections indicating that the party is positioning itself as disciplined, credible and a competitive political outfit that operates within the law.
The new SG Kenta said he was committed to upholding the party’s values of unity, inclusivity and democracy that will play a big role in how decisions are made in the organization.
“Adhering to these values will help in strengthening internal democracy, ensuring fairness, accountability and discipline in the party,” he added.
Kenta further pledged to amplify the voices of the youth and women by creating opportunities for their active participation in leadership roles and decision making.
The position was formerly held by Jeremiah Kioni who has since assumed the role of the deputy party leader.
