Shabana FC Secures Sh10 million healthcare partnership deal

Kisii-based side Shabana FC has secured a Sh10 million medical partnership agreement with Oasis Healthcare Group to provide quality healthcare services to the players and technical team.

Under the agreement, Oasis Hospital will offer a comprehensive medical cover valued at Sh8.8 million for the players and technical staff, alongside a monetary contribution of Sh1.2 million.

Speaking to the press after signing the agreement at Gusii Stadium in Kisii town on Saturday, Shabana FC Secretary General Dr. Elizaphan Kerama said the goodwill support from Oasis Hospital will ensure players and staff have access to timely, professional, and high-quality healthcare services.

“The coverage will include medical assessment, treatment, emergency care, and overall healthcare management, thereby safeguard players’ welfare and optimize their performance,” said Dr. Kerama.

He emphasized that player welfare remains a central pillar of the club’s long-term vision, noting that the deal reflects the club’s rapid and strategic progress toward achieving its goals. According to him, the agreement will be reviewed after three months to allow both parties to assess its impact and make any necessary adjustments to strengthen the collaboration further.

Oasis Healthcare Group Chief Operations Officer Maxwell Abala said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to community, people, and excellence. In a statement read on his behalf by Acting COO Joash Mwanzi, Abala noted the collaboration represents the aspirations of young fans who dream of one day wearing the Shabana jersey.

“Supporting Shabana FC is a natural extension of our mission. Behind every great team is the foundation of good health and well-being. We are proud to support the players, safeguard their health, and be part of this remarkable journey,” he said.

The agreement was signed ahead of Shabana’s home fixture against Tusker FC at Gusii Stadium.
