The Principal Secretary (PS), State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development Teresia Mbaika has lauded President William Ruto’s government for taking development to all parts of the country without any favouritism.
Consequently, Mbaika challenged the residents of Makueni to continue supporting the government of President Ruto for the various projects being implemented in the county that have transformed the area.
While warning women against being misled by the opposition politicians, she urged them to use their numerical strength to vote for the Kenya Kwanza administration in the 2027 general elections so that they will continue to get projects that will boost development in the area and the country at large.
Further the PS warned the Kamba community against continuing to entice the poor mindset politics that has led the area to lag behind in development and instead challenged them to shade off that mentality and embrace change brought by the various programmes the government is implementing aimed at transforming their lives.
“God has blessed you, as voters, you have the power to vote, please make the right decision to vote for good leaders who will bring development. Don’t allow to be misled again,” warned Mbaika during a Women Empowerment Forum held at Muangini market in Mukaa Sub county.
“We have come here to talk to you and tell you what the government has done. President Ruto has done a lot in this county. So the person who walks with us and remembers our children, that we need water, education, electricity and roads that is the person we want,” she posed.
In this regard, Mbaika encouraged women to continue embracing government empowerment programmes, invest wisely besides working together in organized groups, so that they can attract funding from government and other donors that would help them improve their livelihoods.
“When women are economically empowered, families prosper, communities become more resilient and the country develops,” noted the PS.
During the forum, she warned the residents against accepting the invites of the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua whom she accused of being selfish and tribalist who championed only the interests of one community.
Further Mbaika reminded the residents of Makueni that she worked with the former deputy president whom he termed as a hard person to work with saying they should be worry of his moves that could reverse the development being witnessed in the county and the country at large.
“I worked with Gachagua, as my boss he was very tribal man, if he could not take care of me, he cannot take care of us, he is a liar, selfish,” lamented Mbaika.
