“Apart from sensitizing the public on water losses we are also intending to plant over 2, 000 tree seedlings at Njukiri forest, however in the long run we target over 30, 000 seedlings,” he added.

Njiru also said they are expecting over 2,000 participants who have started booking for accommodation in local hotels adding that EWASCO teams which will participate in 15 games are preparing well.
“Last year WASCO games held in Nyeri saw EWASCO emerge position two in darts and squash while position three in pool table and ajua,” he added.
On security during the games, the chairman said they have been holding consultative meetings with the county commissioner and county security team to ensure the security is maintained.
Ms. Mary Mugwira, EWASCO Human Resource Manager who is also WASCO National General Secretary said apart from sensitizing public on non-revenue water, the various water companies that will participate in the games will also have time for bench marking and sharing of ideas which they can apply to improve service delivery to the public.
