The curfew orders enforced by the Government have been successful in Mandera.

The Government announced curfew orders that began Friday from 7pm to 5am to curb spread of covid 19.

Mandera county commissioner Onesmus Kyatha told KNA that the Government was committed to curbing more infections hence the need to implement curfew orders.

He said the curfew will help stop more infections and it was for the good of Kenyans.

The county Government has set up isolation wards in all sub county hospitals.

Screening has also been upscaled at the borders with Ethiopia and Somalia with the Government restricting movement of people across the porous borders.
