Primary school teacher arrested for defiling minor

A  30 year old primary school teacher has been arrested for allegedly defiling a pupil at his house in Wang’chieng location, Rachuonyo North Sub County.

The teacher, from Kogweno Primary School  was arrested after being accused of sexually abusing the 10 year old standard four child on Tuesday evening at his rental house in Rakwaro trading centre.

Confirming the incident, the area chief of Wang’chieng location, Peter  Agunga said that the teacher whose name is still withheld, directed the minor to go into his house on the material day, where he committed the heinous act.

Agunga added that after the incident, the minor went and revealed to her mother what had transpired and she was rushed to Rakwaro Health centre  where she was treated and discharged.

The administrator further said that yesterday the minor’s mother went and reported the incident to his office, where they launched manhunt for the teacher and arrested him in his house in Rakwaro trading centre.

The teacher is currently being held at Kendu Bay Police Station awaiting to be arraigned in court over defilement.
