Rainfall Hampering Enumeration

The  rainfall that is being experienced in the afternoon and at night is affecting the pace of enumerating the residents.

The precipitation is making it difficult for the census personnel to access some households especially at night.

The  County Commissioner (CC), Pauline Dola said so far there has been no bad incident reported and last night she accompanied the Regional Commissioner  who led the security agents in doing the patrols.

“The state of security is perfect and the exercise is going on smoothly although at a slow pace due to rainy weather,” she said.

The populous county recorded about 1.7 million people in 2009 census.

It is projected that the population currently stands at over 2 million people.
