The contractor mandated with the renovation of Embu Stadium set to host Madaraka Day has disclosed that the stadium will be the second in Kenya to use precast technology.
“This is after Kirigiti Stadium in Kiambu,” disclosed Sagar Saghani, the contractor charged with the renovation of the stadium.
He also said that Kenya is the first country in East Africa to use the technology in stadium construction.
Saghani said that the stadium will have 1,800 VIP capacity. He expressed his confidence that he will meet the set timelines by the Government to complete the stadium on time.
The contractor who also constructed Kirigiti Stadium located in Kiambu County said that he will be handing over the stadium to the Government and Embu County Government on May 20.
“This technology is fast and we are going to finish the stadium and hand it over to the Government and Embu County Government on May 20,” he said.
He stated that the stadium will have a seating capacity of 8,000. He also added that the stadium will have six gates for the public and one VIP gate.
The contractor who operates under Modern Precast K Limited promised to work on the drainage system in the stadium that Embu residents had previously complained of.
