Kiamumbi police station get modern administration block

Kiamumbi Police Station has received a major infrastructure boost following the completion of a modern administration block that will house both police and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices.

The new facility, funded through the Kiambu National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) during the 2023/2024 Financial Year, replaces temporary iron-sheet structures that had been used by officers for years.

The project is expected to improve working conditions for security personnel while enhancing service delivery to residents.

The Administration Block will bring police and DCI offices under one roof, a move expected to strengthen coordination between the two departments and improve the efficiency of criminal investigations and other security operations within Kiambu Town Constituency.

According to Kiambu Town MP Machua Waithaka, the completion of the project reflects the government’s commitment to improving security infrastructure and supporting officers in their work.

“The completion of this administration block is a clear commitment to strengthening security services in Kiambu. Our officers now have a proper working environment that will improve efficiency, coordination, and service delivery to the public,” said MP Machua Waithaka.

The modern administration block is equipped with office space designed to support day-to-day operations and improve interaction between security officers and the public.

Leaders said the facility reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen security infrastructure and ensure officers have the resources needed to effectively carry out their duties.

The completion of the project marks an important milestone for Kiamumbi Police Station and is expected to have a positive impact on security service delivery in the area. It is also expected to boost officers’ morale and contribute to a safer environment for residents through improved coordination and efficiency among law enforcement agencies.
