A section of Kenya Kwanza and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) members of parliament have called on Kenyans to be wary of people out to divide the country along tribal lines using empty slogans.
Speaking during an economic empowerment programme held at Mutumbu primary school grounds in Gem constituency, Siaya county, the legislators led by the national assembly majority leader, Kimani Ichung’wa and the president’s Aide, Farouk Kibet, described the opposition leaders engaging in anti-government campaign, as people without alternative agenda to offer the country.
They said relentless negativity was not good for the county and challenged the opposition to come up with well-grounded plans and programs that will uplift lives of the people.
Ichung’wa said the Kenya Kwanza government had achieved a lot since its inception by helping revive the economy, which was on the brink of collapse.
Addressing the same occasion, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Budget and Appropriations committee, Samuel Atandi hinted at the possibility of a coalition between ODM and the Kenya kwanza alliance, come the next general elections.
Atandi who is also the Alego / usonga MP said under the envisaged coalition, the Head of State Dr. William Ruto will be their presidential candidate.

The occasion was also addressed by Nyando MP, Jared Okello and his Emurua Dikir counterpart Johanna Ng’eno.
Also present were legislators David Ochieng (Ugenya), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo) and Sabina Chege (Nominated).
