School managers have been urged to actively embrace exam digitization to streamline administrative costs, curb cheating, and keep pace with global educational trends.
Former IPOA Chairman, John Waiganjo, also urged schools to transition from traditional pen-and-paper models to digital, paperless examination systems to drastically slash operational costs, enhance testing security, and align with modern global economies.
Waiganjo underscored that digitizing student information can have a huge impact on schools’ operations and act as a crucial step towards attaining academic transformation and success.
He said that this can take all data and information of a child’s education out of the storage facility and make it readily accessible for everyone who needs it adding that Schools can improve their efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy by shifting from traditional systems to digital platforms.
Waiganjo spoke when he donated and distributed computers to Cheragita and Ruiru Comprehensive schools in Ol-Joro Orok Constituency to encourage local schools to embrace emerging learning technologies.
He observed that digitized student information allows seamless record-keeping, enabling administrators and educators to access vital data and make informed decisions swiftly and in real-time.
He noted that this flexibility not only simplifies administrative duties but also allows teachers to customize their pedagogical approaches based on the student’s requirements.
This results in a more personalized and individualized approach from the instructors that facilitates holistic learning.
Parents have welcomed the move saying they too were also keeping abreast with the emerging learning technologies.
