The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations in Samburu County began smoothly on Monday, even as some parts of Samburu East experienced heavy rainfall that rendered several roads impassable.
Samburu County Commissioner John Cheruiyot confirmed that no major challenges had been reported so far, adding that the government was closely monitoring the examination process to ensure all candidates sit for their exams without disruption.
He said adequate security personnel have been deployed to all examination centers across the county to maintain safety and order until the conclusion of the national examinations.
Cheruiyot also issued a stern warning to road bandits operating in the county, saying their days are numbered. His remarks followed an incident along the Looduk–Maralal and Maralal–Wamba roads, where armed assailants shot and injured one person and robbed passengers of money and personal belongings.
