PS Motari wants Kenyans to assist institutions that moulded them

Social Protection and Senior Citizens Affairs PS Joseph Motari has urged all Kenyans of goodwill and those in leadership positions to improve learning conditions at the university, school or college that one formerly attended.

Motari, who spoke at his former primary school, now called Nyabikongori Comprehensive School in Kuria East Sub-County, said that those who have been blessed to hold leadership positions and other able individuals in society should help transform their former learning institutions to enhance institutional infrastructural development.

“It is good to give back to your community and improve the learning space of the same institutions that molded you into what you are today,” said Motari.

Through his personal efforts, the school has received a facelift, with four ultra-modern classrooms duly constructed, complete with tiles, ceilings and electricity, providing a conducive environment for learners at the facility.

The ultra-modern classrooms will have a capacity to accommodate approximately 70 students, easing congestion and enhancing safety among the learners.

Head of the Institution (HOI), Daniel Chacha, said that the new building will help to improve education standards at the comprehensive school.

Chacha said the old building had been condemned by the Ministry of Health as not viable for any learning activities.

“We are happy that the new ultra-modern structures will help to provide a conducive environment for learners to do even better,” he said.

The PS, who is also an alumnus of Taranganya and Isebia secondary schools said that he would soon commission a laboratory and library at Taranganya Boys and also conduct a fundraiser late this month for Isebania Boys High School.

On politics, Motari appealed to residents of Kuria residents and the larger Migori region to support the broad-based government under the transformative leadership of President Dr. William Ruto.

The event was also attended by Kuria East Constituency parliamentary aspirant Monica Motari.
