Residents of Kiambaa Constituency are set to benefit from improved security services following the completion of the renovation of Karuri Police Station, a project aimed at enhancing the working environment for police officers and improving service delivery.
Kiambaa Member of Parliament John Kiragu Wanjiku announced the completion of the facelift, saying the project marks a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen security infrastructure within the constituency funded by NG-CDF.
Besides the comprehensive renovation of the station, the facility has been equipped with new furniture to improve the working conditions of officers and enhance their efficiency in serving members of the public.
Speaking after announcing the completion of the project, Wanjiku said investment in security infrastructure is essential in supporting law enforcement officers to effectively discharge their mandate.
“Beyond the complete renovation of Karuri Police Station, we have furnished the facility with new furniture to enhance our police officers’ working environment and strengthen their capacity to serve and keep the people of Kiambaa safe,” said Wanjiku.
The legislator noted that a conducive working environment for police officers contributes to improved service delivery and strengthens collaboration between security agencies and the community in addressing crime and maintaining law and order.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that improve public institutions and enhance the welfare of security personnel, noting that better-equipped facilities enable officers to respond more effectively to the security needs of residents.
The renovation included refurbishment of the station’s facilities to create a cleaner, more functional and dignified workplace for officers and members of the public seeking police services. The addition of modern furniture is expected to improve office operations and the overall efficiency of the station.
Residents have welcomed the completion of the project, expressing optimism that the improved police station will contribute to enhanced security, faster service delivery and a better working relationship between the police and the local community.
