Hamisi Member of Parliament, Charles Gimose, has announced the upgrading of the roads network within Kaimosi Municipality in Vihiga County to spur economic growth.
Gimose revealed that he recently held an extensive consultative meeting with stakeholders including the Director General for Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), Eng. Silas Kinoti following which an estimated Sh1.8billion was allocated to his constituency to support the upgrading of the roads’ networks within Kaimosi Municipality.
The funds, he added, would facilitate the municipality’s growth through the tarmacking of key roads.
He said the roads would enhance movement of residents including traders and students besides interconnecting various institutions within the Municipality.
“I thank all the leaders, stakeholders and residents who supported the noble vision of upgrading Kaimosi to a municipal town because it is due to your unwavering support and dedication that such a milestone has been achieved,” noted Gimose.
He reiterated that as a Member of Parliament, he remains committed to working closely with the National Government and all relevant agencies to ensure that Kaimosi Municipality becomes a model of good planning, development, investment and prosperity.
“I will continue championing meaningful progress that transforms lives and creates a brighter future for our people,” promised Gimose.
