PS launches Huduma Centre in Tiriki East

Residents of Tiriki East Sub County are set to benefit from improved access to government services following the launch of the proposed Huduma Centre project by the PS for the State Department of Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Imbunya during a visit to Shaviringa in Tiriki East Sub County.

The event, held at the Deputy County Commissioner’s office in Shaviringa, brought together local leaders, residents and government officials as the Principal Secretary reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening service delivery and uplifting vulnerable communities within the region.

The area Deputy County Commissioner, Michael Too, welcomed the PS and members of the community, describing the visit as a significant milestone towards enhancing public service accessibility in Tiriki East.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Imbunya commended the DCC for his continued efforts in addressing alcoholism and insecurity within the sub county, noting that strong leadership and vigilance were essential in safeguarding development and secure the future of the community.

She encouraged the administrator to remain steadfast in the fight against illicit brews and substance abuse while working closely with stakeholders to maintain peace, security and social stability in the area.

As part of efforts to strengthen operations at the DCC’s office, the Principal Secretary donated two computers and a printer to support administrative and office functions aimed at improving efficiency in public service delivery.

Dr. Imbunya further urged residents to continue supporting the government and appreciate the ongoing development initiatives being implemented across the region.

She highlighted several projects and empowerment programmes currently underway in Tiriki East, including the construction of a Mosque, the establishment of Centres of Excellence at Kaimosi Girls High School and Goibei Girls High School, as well as continued distribution of relief food, clothes, shoes and mattresses to vulnerable families.

According to the PS, the programmes are intended to improve livelihoods, support education and promote social welfare among residents within the sub county.

In his remarks, DCC Michael Too thanked the Principal Secretary for her steadfast support to efficient service delivery to Kenyans and the region, saying her commitment had significantly contributed to community empowerment and development initiatives in Tiriki East.

Residents present during the function welcomed the government’s continued investment in the area, expressing optimism that the planned Huduma Centre and other ongoing projects would greatly improve access to services and enhance socio-economic development within the sub county.
