Turkana East MP records statement with DCI over alleged incitement remarks

The  Turkana East MP, Mohammed  Ali Lokiru has recorded a statement with DCI, Turkana over alleged incitement remarks uttered on December 12, 2019.

The  MP had been summoned by County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi to record a statement with the county criminal investigations department.

“I want to bring to your attention that, I was summoned by the County Police Commander, yesterday 26th January, to report to the County CID Offices to record a statement over an alleged incitement contained in an anonymously recorded clip dated 12th December 2019. I have abided with the said order,” said Lokiru.

Lokiru  was  accompanied to the county investigation’s office on Monday by his counterparts, James Lomenen of Turkana South and the Turkana West’s, Daniel Epuyo.

The MP   appealed to his constituents to be remain calm pending investigations and conclusion of the matter.

“I therefore appeal to my people to remain calm as we wait for the decision of the police on this matter,” said the MP.
