The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party will firmly remain in government, Gem Member of Parliament (MP), Elisha Odhiambo, has said.
Odhiambo at the same time dismissed calls to have the Party operate outside the government, insisting that ODM is fully behind President William Ruto’s Administration and will support his bid for a second term.
He was speaking at Mutumbu in North Gem Location, Siaya County, during a thanks giving-cum memorial ceremony for his late parents.
The Legislator called on Party members and Kenyans at large to ignore a section of the Party leaders who are advocating for ODM, to head to the next General Elections as a single entity.
“Such leaders are fake and they will not be allowed to monopolize the Party,” said the Gem MP.
Odhiambo said that President Ruto has no strong opponents and will easily secure second term adding:
“His rivals who are allied to former Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Wiper Patriotic Front Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, are all lightweight,” he observed.
