Grief has engulfed Enaibelbel location in Narok North Sub County after a young couple was found dead in their rental house at Olokirikirai trading centre.

Narok County police commander, Riko Ngare, said the incident was reported today (Tuesday) by the area chief, Samson Kahare, who reported that a man and his wife’s lifeless bodies were found in the house.

Upon opening the door of the rental house, the police boss said, the body of 24 year old Regina Lelempere was lying lifeless in a pool of blood with a stab wound on the neck while her 28 year old husband Lemiso Sangoyo’s body was hanging from the roof with a wire around his neck.

“It is suspected that Sangoyo murdered his young wife before committing suicide. His body did not have any physical injury,” said Ngare.

According to the chief, the couple was newly married and was blessed with a three-year-old baby before the awful incident occurred.

The man was working as a casual labourer in his brother’s farm and there was no suicidal note left behind.

Chief Kahare called on residents to discuss issues affecting them with close friends or relatives to resolve their issues instead of committing suicide.
