Kakamega Woman Representative, Elsie Muhanda, has been ranked as the third best Woman Representative in the country in terms of development.
Ms. Muhanda said the recognition will strengthen her resolve to serve her people with dedication.
Speaking in Matungu, Monday, Muhanda expressed her gratitude, saying the recognition reflects the trust and support of the people.
“This Award is not mine alone. It belongs to the people of Kakamega, whose confidence continues to inspire my service,” she said.
Khwisero Member of Parliament (MP), Christopher Aseka, was also recognized as the best MP in Kakamega County, 2nd best MP in the Western Region and 10th Nationally.
He attributed the accolade to the unwavering support of the people of Khwisero and promised to continue delivering inclusive development and transformative leadership.
Aseka noted that the achievements highlight the growing prominence of Kakamega County in governance and development.
He said the recognition strengthens his development agenda for his constituents and raise the bar for leadership in Western Kenya and across the Nation.
