Adequate security during exams

Kirinyaga County Commissioner Naiyoma Tobiko has revealed that his office has deployed 600 security officers to cover all centers within the County where 12,500 pupils are sitting for the KCPE and 13,000 sitting for the KPSEA.

He made the remarks in the company of the area Member of Parliament Gachoki Gitari during the official opening of the KCPE and KPSEA containers in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County yesterday morning.

Tobiko said the monitoring team will be going around within the County to ensure pupils have a conducive environment during the entire exams period.

“So far, there have been no challenges despite the presence of heavy rains, and we are not expecting any,” he said.

Area Member of Parliament Gachoki Gitari took the opportunity to wish all candidates success.
