Incoming Nyamira County Commissioner, Shufaa Mwaijuma has promised that she is ready to prudently work and deliver on the government’s mandate.

She was speaking on Friday during a handover- takeover function while reporting as Nyamira County Commissioner where she described herself as energetic and equal to the task and beseeched heads of departments for maximum support, close collaboration for her to deliver in her very first capacity as County Commissioner.

“I have been in service as an administrator for over 30 years and this new role definitely has it’s unique dynamics of leadership with an enlarged scope of accountability but I am equal to the task and with your support and collaboration we shall make Nyamira county an envied place to work, live and invest,” CC Mwaijuma stated.

“We all have individual unmatched strengths while performing our duties to deliver on the government vision to its people, weaknesses we are grappling to overcome, opportunities we are yet to fully explore and trying always to evade threats which impede us from attainment of our ultimate potential in service delivery. We therefore need teamwork, objective consultation and seamless collaboration to complement one another in all these attributes to execute our duties efficiently to provide sustainable development for people in Nyamira County,” CC Mwaijuma implored.

She clarified that though her new level of coordination as County Commissioner is male dominated, she believes in job performance and affirmed that gender biases have never intimidated her in executing directed duties above expectation.

She confidently confirmed that she has always surpassed expectations and was grateful that her exemplary performance has earned her the current promotion as County Commissioner.

“The already warm welcome from you people is an assurance that we shall be a great team of zealous reliable workers driven by a collective purpose of service delivery to the people of Nyamira,” she remarked.

The Outgoing County Commissioner Erastus Mbui appreciated the support he was accorded for the 1 year and 9 months he worked in Nyamira as County Commissioner.

“I request that you give Madam Shufar Mwaijuma support and ample time to execute her duties the same way you accorded me,” appealed Mbui.

Mr Erastus Mbui is proceeding to Kitui County in the same capacity as County Commissioner while Shufaa Mwaijuma until her promotion as County Commissioner served as the Deputy County Commissioner for Katulani Sub County in Kitui County.
