Suspected Kilifi paedophile to raise Sh.100, 000 bail for his freedom

A  22-year-old man has been ordered to pay a cash bail of Sh.100, 000 to secure freedom by a Kilifi Court  after he denied charges of defiling a 16- year-old girl.

Abdullah Abdallah Mohammed  appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate, Justus  Mulei Kituku  on Monday  and was charged that on January 24, 2020 at around 10pm in Tezo sub location, he forcefully defiled the minor.

The  court  was  told that the class 7 pupil at Tezo Primary School  was on her way home from doing preps with colleagues in the neighborhood when the accused came from behind and grabbed her then dragged her into a bush where he committed the offence.

“I tried to scream for help but nobody came to my rescue as there were no people around and it was dark. The assailant then ran away after the act,” she said.

The accused could not immediately raise the bond and was remanded at Shimo-la-Tewa GK Prison. The case was set for mention on February 19, 2020 and hearing will begin on February 26, 2020.
