Khwisero Member of Parliament, Christopher Aseka, has supported President William Ruto’s call for a national conversation, saying the initiative offers Kenyans an opportunity to chart a shared vision for the country’s future.
Aseka said the proposed dialogue should rise above political interests and focus on issues that unite the country, strengthen national cohesion and promote inclusive development.
Speaking in Khwisero on Monday, the MP said the platform should bring together leaders, professionals, the youth, religious organisations and other stakeholders to discuss long-term solutions to challenges affecting the country.
“I welcome President Ruto’s invitation to a national conversation. Let us use this platform to discuss the future and shared prosperity of our Nation. We need a national vision that will outlive all of us, one that is rooted in inclusion and a Kenya that leaves no one behind,” Aseka said.
The legislator said meaningful dialogue should focus on economic transformation, employment creation, education, healthcare, governance and equitable distribution of resources to ensure every region benefits from National development.
He noted that sustained engagement among Kenyans would help build consensus on critical National issues while fostering unity and peaceful coexistence.
Aseka urged leaders across the political divide to embrace constructive engagement and avoid divisive rhetoric that could undermine the country’s development agenda.
He said the success of the proposed National conversation would depend on openness, inclusivity and a genuine commitment to implementing resolutions that reflect the aspirations of all Kenyans.
The MP expressed optimism that the initiative could lay the foundation for a stronger and more cohesive Nation by promoting dialogue, mutual respect and collective responsibility in addressing the country’s challenges.
